This Autumn/Winter 2017 season, we focus on a skill versus an occupation. This collection, we draw attention to the man who goes above and beyond seeking joys and thrills, the mountaineer. The man who accepts the risks of attempting to reach the highest points of unclimbed peaks, who endures through the extreme temperatures of nature, and who embodies the thrills produced by one’s courage, strength, and ability to be an adventurer. In order to survive through these terrains, these mountaineers

For our Spring/Summer 2017 collection, we were inspired by bicycles; not just the machine itself, but the man who rides it. The man who risks his life daily; who rides the endless wave of traffic through the city. The man who bears all weather elements as well as all human elements. We were inspired by the notorious Bike Messenger. These cyclists must be so in tune with their bikes that they become one. They must know the ins and outs of their bikes’ mechanics as well as the mechanical nat

This Autumn / Winter 2016 season, we are introducing our Craftsmen series. Over the next several collections we will be collaborating and gathering inspiration from Craftsmen; not only their trade, but the elements with which they work. To us a Craftsman is an artist who finds the perfect marriage between function and beauty. Managing to create art with their hands and these creations are then sold and used daily. A furniture builder or a sculptor; a bicycle builder or a knife maker; a gla

Our Spring 2016 Collection was inspired by Architecture; not only the design esthetic, but the mindful use of simplicity. We used seams and stitching as design details to mimic the infrastructure of a building; as well as a minimalist approach to garment interiors allowing for the visibility of seaming. At its core, we remained true to the W.R.K design approach creating clothing that is practical and of exceptional quality. We used multiple fabrications such as neoprene, nylon, leather and coat

This collection was inspired by Anchorage Alaska SWAT; not only the men who choose to battle the elements to save lives, but also the clothing and gear that allows them to do so. This elite task force must be able to battle extreme weather conditions as well as mental fatigue. It’s a rare breed who is able to withstand these elements on a daily basis and this inspired us to create clothing that could withstand these extremities as well. This season’s color palette was derived from the predo

Every season WRK is inspired by a different occupation, not just by the task at hand, but by the personality beneath. This season we were inspired by Formula 1 race car drivers and how these men live a contrasting lifestyle. As equal parts athlete, engineer, and socialite, these men are a rare breed. We were especially inspired by one such champion, James Hunt of England. Our color palate is derived from the vibrant greens and blues traditionaly used in British racecar driving. While our prints

For W.R.K SS14 designer Matteo Gottardi drew his inspiration from Australia, exploring the vast contrasts observed while visiting the country and the underlying themes of man vs. nature, urban vs. outback. The collection finds a middle ground of form and function from the juxtaposing landscapes experienced. Be it Bondi’s modern surf scene, St. Kilda’s eclectic graffiti arts or the rugged and bareness of the bush, Gottardi merges elements of these very individual and identifying aesthetics

During WWII the British motor corps adopted the use of motorcycles to help bring supplies, medicine and mail to soldiers on the front. As many roads were left destroyed and littered with debris, the motorcycle was the easiest and most agile way to get supplies where needed. This collection follows one such soldier through his travels throughout Great Britain. The WRK collection pays homage to this soldier’s tour and features moleskin pants with inset bellowed pockets that combat the rubble pic
